2005.03.09 - Introducing the new NT-300/301 capacitive sensory trigger switch. Ideal for applications where dust, dirt, moisture, and chemicals can present disastrous switching faults. These switches can be mounted behind insulators [control panels] making them ideal for areas where vandalism is a constant problem. The output mode can be toggle or pulse.
From both a durability and safety point of view, this capacitive sensory trigger is far more suitable than the traditional sensory trigger used in harsh environmental conditions. Due to the innovative non-direct-contact design of this new capacitive sensory trigger, users can easily operate it by even the lightest touch. Insulative control panel materials previously avoided, including glass, ceramics, wood, and stone, are all now very real possibilities with this new technology. Output signals from the capacitive sensory trigger can be directly converted to suit micro-controller, logic gate, or OP Amp requirements. Signals may also be sent directly to control passive devices, such as relays and thyristors for example, thereby minimising circuit components. The new capacitive sensory trigger switch not only addresses the inherent limitations of traditional mechanical switch technologies, but maximises functionality while minimizing componentry.
